Our day centres provide a friendly and safe environment for our elderly and disabled clients.

We currently have 50 places a week in our day centre, split between Tuesdays and Thursdays. The majority of our day centre clients are brought into our centre on one of our three specially adapted welfare minibuses. We employ two day centre supervisors and have a number of volunteers who assist.

There are a number of activities which run through out the day including reading newspapers and magazines, chatting with friends, playing cards, dominoes or board games, jigsaws, arts and craft activities, bingo, raffles and quizzes. We also invite outside entertainers and trading stalls in on a regular basis. Coffee and tea are served with home-made biscuits for morning and afternoon breaks.

Some of our recent craft activities include papier mache, glass painting, decoupage, cork painting, painting-by-numbers, ceramic painting, collage, card making and flower arranging.

Don't forget - we offer a number of other services to our day centre and lunch club clients including a salad and fresh sandwich selection - so you can buy something for your tea; home-made bakery produce at very reasonable prices; frozen foods in convenient portions - so you don't need to eat 2lb of peas at once; and a sweet shop with everything from Jelly Babies to mixed mints and delicious bars of chocolate.
