At long last I have secured funding to set up a “Night Club” for Learning disabled and Physically disabled adults.
The club will run on the 1st Friday of each month starting from Friday 5th March, the second club will be on the 9th April to avoid Good Friday.
The club will be for members, and membership will be £5 plus a photo for the year, plus a small charge of £2 at the door. The club will open at
6 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. This should give Carers an opportunity for some time to go out themselves. Members will also be allowed to invite family and friends etc. to the club.
As you will see from the advertising, there will be a bar, fast food
(hot dogs, burgers, chips, etc.) karaoke and disco.
Obviously in order for this club to succeed people who attend will have to spend money on drinks from the bar and food, which will be very reasonably priced, a lot less than pub prices.
We will not be providing transport but I will happily ring Taxis if necessary.
